When The Solar Centre began in 2005, satisfaction with solar powered products seemed at an all time low. Cheap and cheerful was the order of the day with petrol station solar lights selling for less then £2 per light - many of these ending up in landfill after precious little use.

We quickly realised that using the latest solar, LED and battery technology creates superb solar products for only a little extra on the price tag.

We believe the results of our latest survey show we're on the right track which has inspired us to further push the boundaries of what can be achieved.

Not long ago the summer performance of solar products was OK at best, but most products lacked the longevity and all round performance that now comes as standard on Solar Centre products.

Our next generation advances like iPS Technology (subtly adjusts light output to maximise run time), Booster Panels (instantly makes a product suitable for extra heavy use) and High Efficiency Cabling (maximises the amount of power that reaches the batteries from the solar panel) keep our products performing night after night.

We're proud of the niche we've carved out in a relatively short space of time. Our performance mandate is the principal factor in deciding whether or not a product makes the grade.

Sometimes more then 20 different sample products fall by the way side before a product is selected and evolved to become worthy of the Solar Centre logo.
