It is now! - The Solar Centre's Solar Fairy icicle lights perform every bit as well as mains operated led fairy lights, but with the convenience of solar. With 2 metres of cabling between the solar panel and the control box you can put the lights in the shade as long as the panel is in the sunlight. These solar powered fairy icicle lights are trully fantastic whether you want to decorate a tree, table, House or yourself at a festival! Don't restrict yourself to using them outdoors - use them inside* too!

*When using indoors do make sure the panel in situated outside in unobstructed light. The solar gain can be reduced by up to 95% if situated behind glass.




Solar Fairy icicle Lights are perfect for anyone looking to put up fairy icicle lights outside without using mains power. Simply hang the solar fairy icicle lights anywhere outside (and we mean anywhere), position the panel in a place where it will get the most amount of daylight and away you go.

The Solar Centre looked long and hard to find Solar Fairy Lights that were of a high enough standard, we found some good products, but none that could fulfill all our criteria, so in the end we made our own.

How do they work?

The Solar Centre Solar Fairy icicle Lights are attached to a control module that contains three rechargeable batteries. This control module is connected to a solar panel which charges the batteries during daylight. At dusk the light sensor in the solar panel turns the lights on automatically and at dawn it automatically turns the lights off.

Do they have different lighting modes?

The Solar Centre Solar Fairy icicle Lights have 6 different lighting modes:

1. Alternating
2. Chasing
3. Fast Flash
4. Slow Flash
5. Fast Flicker
6. All Lights On

How do I set them up?

The Solar Centre's Solar Fairy icicle Lights are incredibly quick and easy to install!

Simply press the button to turn them on then remove them from the box, unravel the lights and place them in your desired location, place the solar panel in sunlight. The lights will automatically turn off after the panel has been exposed to light for 90 seconds. There is 2 metres of cable between the lights and the solar panel so you can place the lights in a shaded area so long as the solar panel can reach an area that receives unobstructed daylight.

The solar panel comes with a clip and a spike for mounting as well as a deck mounting bracket. The spike is ideal if you plan to mount the panel in the ground whereas the clip is more useful if you are thinking placing the lights higher up, The deck mounting bracket can be used to fix the panel securley to any flat surface.

Can I use my solar fairy lights inside?

Yes you can use your Solar Fairy Lights indoors so long as the solar panel is located outside and is south facing. Solar doesn’t work particularly well through glass (especially double glazing) so it is essential your panel is located outside. One way to do this is to slot the solar panel through a window for example. Your Solar Fairy icicle Lights will come on when it is dark outside and turn off again automatically in the morning as if they were placed outside.
