Christmas is fast approaching! And many people are wondering when the correct time is to put up their Christmas decorations. Famously the 1st of December has always been the set day to put up your Christmas lights, but what if you want to enjoy them longer? What will the neighbours think? How long do you leave them up for after Christmas?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is it too early to put up my Christmas decorations? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our golden rule is everything after Halloween is fine for Christmas. As long as you are not overlapping these big festive days, no one is going to scoff at your early festive cheer!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We recommend putting up your Christmas tree around the last week of November or the first week of December. Everything else can be earlier, the only reason the tree goes up last is because of how long you can keep them. The last thing you want is to build up your festivities in November, for your tree to have perished before December!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After Christmas and before New Year’s seems to be the most popular time to take your Christmas tree down. That being said, if you are in holiday mode and want to wait until the first week of January that is completely okay. Anyone that has their Christmas tree up in March, however, it’s time to use it as firewood or put it in the garden!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are the different styles of outdoor lights?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The wonderful tradition of dressing your front garden with sparkly lights is perhaps the most magical moment of the season. Driving past houses with fantastic Christmas displays put you into a festive mood like nothing else. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here at the Solar Centre, the selection of Christmas lights ranges from small and simple, to intricate glowing statement pieces. We pride ourselves in having more LEDs on our Christmas lights, than any of our competition. Even our small Christmas displays<\/a> will have anywhere between 200 and 480 LEDs. Our larger pieces have up to 960 LEDs. We recommend putting the Christmas lights in sets. Having small and large of each display piece and spacing the different sets out about 5 m apart is going to make your outdoor space look bigger, and allow the festivities to stretch on. Our fairy lights range in size from 100 m to 500 m. We would use 100 m of lighting every 5 m of garden. If you want to get a look, take a look at our displays below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
