Frequently asked questions
Is the ball frost-proof?
Asked by Alison White on 20 Oct 2017
No problem with frost.
Can the chain and ceiling attachment be removed? My daughter is getting married and I think they'd be beautiful dotted around the grounds of the venue.
Asked by Vicky Freeman on 23 Sep 2016
The chain and ceiling attachment can be removed leaving just the ball but that will mean they will not light up at night as the bulb and power will have been detached from the ball.
Is it possible to get different bulbs for this... I'm not a huge fan of warm white and would like to replace it with 'cool' white if at all possible.
Asked by Sally on 7 Aug 2016
The Aria is only available in warm white or colour changing .
Can I take it apart, temporarily, so that I can have the light inside a summerhouse, and the PV bit on the roof?
Asked by Oriole on 1 Aug 2014
The little LED is screwed into the top of the ball as part of installation. You could poke it through the roof (providing it doesn't exceed the length of the chain/wire).
How big is it
Asked by Jackie on 29 Jul 2014
It is 15cm diameter.
I would like to hang 2 in my conservatory. Is this feasible? Thanks
Asked by Sally on 6 Jul 2014
The solar panel needs to have access to direct sunlight as much as possible. We do not recommend charging solar panels behind glass. I would not recommend these for your conservatory.
Hi , where is the solar panel located ? I would like to hang this under neath a large garden umbrella over the table , to give light whilst eating , will it charge in this location ? And would it give enough (or 2 ) light to eat by ? -thanks
Asked by Julien Giles on 8 Jun 2014
The solar panel is on top of the metal circular part you see half way down the chain. If you were to hang this under an umbrella it would not charge sufficiently.
Is it weatherproof?
Asked by Paula on 27 Apr 2014
Yes. This light is weatherproof.
