Yes you can join the cables together, there will be roughly a 10% drop with each extension.
Hi I am a little confused about the extension as the information describes purchasing one cable to extend each light separately from splitter to the light, this is clear. However someone asked if they can use the extension from the panel to the splitter and this appeared possible? I have had these lights in the past and found the main drawback was the short length of cable between panel and splitter so this would be an ideal solution if possible? Regards Steve

This is a single cable that will allow you to extend the distance between the splitter to one of your Atlas lights by 5m. The previous post I believe is meaning that it plugs into the splitter which is part of the panel. Please note that one cable is required to extend each light
Can the extension cable run from the solar panel to the splitter.

Can you use no extension lead with 1 light, 1 extension cable with 2nd light and 2 or more extension cables with the 3rd or 4th light? Or does each light need the same size extension lead?

It depends on which lights you want to extend away from the panel. If it is all of them then you need 2 or 4 depending on your set, however, if you want two lights further away then you can use 2 extension cables.

Yes they can be, with each extenstion we estimate roughly about a 10% drop, however if the panel is in direct sunlight that should help with any drop.
Will the extension cable be suitable to replace a wire I accidentally cut with the lawn mower?Or can I buy replacement cable?

This only suitable for extending the panel, it cannot be used to replace cables.
Does the 5 meter extension cable connect to the 4.5 meter cable supplied, giving you 9.5 meters between solar panel and spot light ?

Yes this extends from the panel outward.

I assume this just sits between the solar panel and the light with no additional effort other than screwing the connectors together as you would without the extension?

The connections are made to be compatible with our atlas range. So if you are looking to extend the panel of an Atlas this will be suitable. If you are looking at using this for another purpose then it is not recommended.
