Hi Paul, This light is available only in grey
How long would you expect the internal battery to last for - what's the shelf life of this product? Thanks.
Asked by Phil on 6 Sep 2023
The internal battery has the average lifespan of 2 to 3 years, however it is replaceable, and therefore the product can run for a very long time.
Is the battery a bespoke li-on or Nimh? I assume the battery is not replaceable under normal circumstances but would I be able desolder it if I found a suitable replacement online?
Asked by Scott on 2 Apr 2021
This unit holds a 3.7v lithium-ion battery 400 mah. This can not be replaced.
How much light is required to charge daily as I intend to place the light along a narrow pathway through to garden. Also north facing front garage. Thanks
Asked by Kee Wong on 3 Jan 2021
We would not recommend this light for that purpose. Please look at lights with separate solar panels.
Can the light be set to come on continuously at dusk instead of using pir sensor Alan
Asked by Alan Mills on 7 Oct 2020
No this is only able to activate when motion is detected.
Do you know what the wattage and kelvin output is for this light? Thanks

The output is 50 lumens, we do not rate our lights with watts.

Sadly this light is only a PIR version. Please take a look at our wall lights here
Can you adjust the depth of field? I would like to put this outside my front door however the pavement is only just over a meter away. I don't want it going off every time someone walks past. Many thanks
Asked by Rebecca Rock on 6 Aug 2019
Sadly not, you could test different positions and see which works best.
I'm looking for a solar wall light to stay on all night to light up my house sign. Can you recommend one please.
Asked by Laura james on 18 Feb 2019
Please take a look at our wall lights or spotlights . Some of the security light that have remote controls have options to be switched on and off. Our wall and spotlights stay on until dawn or the power has run out.
Woukd this light be suitable outside a front door but undercarriage small roof canopy? If not what would you recommend Kind regards
Asked by Louise Green on 31 Jan 2019
It really depends how much direct sunlight gets to the panel. We wouldn't recommend having this light under a roof and it's likely to block most of the sunlight need to use the light. You could consider a different location for this light or have a look at our lights which have remote panels so you can position the light in a shaded area and have the panel in a sunny location.
Does this light stay on all night.? I just need one that only operates with motion sensor Thanks
Asked by Jonathan Vincent on 18 Dec 2018
No, the Chiltern light is motion only light.
Is the PIR sensitivity adjustable to closer than the 3m stated detection range?
Asked by Darin on 17 Oct 2018
No, our all in one solar security lights do not have sensitivity adjustments. Our SMD do.
Can this light be stuck on using double sided strong tape, or must it be screwed on?
Asked by Anne on 17 Oct 2018
Yes, should work just fine. The lights are pretty light too.
Please can you tell me the lumens for the chiltern PIR solar welcome light, thank you

What fixings are required? Particularly the length of screw. We have wood panelling with a vapour barrier behind. Can it be secured without screws?
Asked by David Washington on 10 Oct 2018
This light is pretty light so you could secure it with sticky back pads.

The LEDs are built into the light and not replaceable.
Has this light a motion switch ON/OFF mode? Pease advise Thanks
Asked by PAWEL on 22 Apr 2018
Hi, the light is only motion activated.
My door faces east and the light would be under the eves. Would any of your solar lights with a motion sensor be suitable?
Asked by Albert Oldbury on 21 Oct 2017
We have seen customers use them in this situation but put the light lower down around the door handle height to get the most amount of light getting to the panel. The other choice would to look at a remote panel motion light.
Regarding build quality is it plastic or stainless. How many lumen does it emit. What is the life cycle of the led?
Asked by Morten topholm on 21 Jul 2017
The lamp is made from plastic and stainless steel. It's rated at 50 lumens and the LED is rated for 20,000hrs.
