I have two Edinburgh USB SSSDL sets and would like to purchase two twin pin extension cables could you please advise costs etc I ordered two previously only to find they were I pin connecters which do not fit the Edinburgh lights above and were not compatible to use. Regards Richard

As these lights are formed in a daisy chain style, the lights can be moved around and you will be able to connect the end light to the new connectors you have. Should you wish to return the cables, please get in contact with our customer service team.
If you fit the extension cable to the solar panel what would be the drop in brightness? If you only use 6 lights would the lights be brighter than the 8? ThanX

A single extension cable will not really make any difference, if you use 3+ it might start to decrease the power but this can be outweighed by having the panel in a better position. Reducing the number of lights is unlikely to make them brighter but would increase the runtime.

I'm looking for around another two feet cable length between each light, are there any short extension leads for this or is there any way they can be extended ?

The only extension cable that we sell is the one below: https://www.thesolarcentre.co.uk/products/Edinburgh_Extension_Cable_5m-856-5.html Which is used to extend the distance between the first led and the solar panel. I am afraid that we do not have any more cables available.
Can these be installed as down lighters

What do you do with the last end of the cable there is nothing to cover it from the elements .

Push the power button on the underside of the solar panel: - once: lights illuminate in full brightness - twice: lights illuminate in medium brightness - three times: lights illuminate in low brightness - four times: lights are off

I am afraid not, but they look exactly as the picture provided. It is a daisy chain and they connect to one panel.

You will have to lift the decking and connect the cables so that are not visible.

The panel can be installed with the ground stake provided. It does not come with a wall-mounted bracket.

No, the panel determines whether it is day/night. So these will only work when the panel detects it is dark enough (usually at dusk) then the light will come on.
I'm going to put these in my porch roof will that be OK as I will have the main solar panel on the roof getting the sun?

This would be ok, however, the lights will not come on until the panel detected that it was dark enough.
Is there an option to have motion sensor fitted, or could you recommend another set that can do both (solar charge and sensor)

These lights cannot be driven over, so please do be careful that they will not come into contact with the tires or they will crack.
You Edinburgh USB Solar Stainless Steel Deck Lights maybe the solution to my problem, I want something that could be used as soffit lights as I have no access to run a cable for mains power. I would like to have four at the front and four at the back of a building but 1.6m lead between lights wouldn't fit, is it possile to have a longer cable from the fourth light to the fifth light and if so where could I get this extension cable?

Unfortunately, they only come like this and there are no in-between lamp extension cables available.
Hi could you tell me what the Max size between each light Can be? Really interested in these lights but only want one on each corner of decking which is about 3mtrs apart to each one?

The max distance between each light is 1.6m .
Can you link two panels together, so you could mount one facing SE and the other SW.? Are the panels available to buy to power a pond water pump water fall.?

Unfortunately, they can't be linked together to extend them - you would end up with two full sets however you can use fewer lamps if you prefer. The solar panels wouldn't be compatible with other products.
We have had these lights fitted to our decking today but tonight only 3 of the 8 are working. Could this be cause they still need more charge or is it a connection problem?

Doublecheck all of the connections between the lamps and then only once you've done this disconnect and reconnect the first lamp in the chain from the solar panel. This will reset them and should get the full set up and running for you.
It describes as warm white but can you tell me what the kelvin scale is on these lights please

Yes they are led lights and the controls are the power button , push once for full brightness , twice for medium brightness , three times for lowest birghtness and four times to turn them off.
Hi can you confirm these automatically come on at night. Also does it remember your desired brightness level, or do you have to manually change it each time

We recommend these being mouted so they have the best access to direct sunlight, so if this was mounted vertically please make sure that there is no shadowing etc.
Are the lights waterproof as I need to fit the most to wooden decking boards? What is the lumen output per light?

These lights are waterproof and the lumen for the 3 different brightnesses is as follows: 40 / 30 / 20 lumens

The panel is designed for 8 lights only so adding additional lights will limit the performance and we don't sell the light string separately. 1.6m of cable between each light for daisy chaining.

Yes, but each extension cable will reduce the power getting to the lights due to the resistance in the wire. The reduction in the output can easily be overcome by having a far better-positioned panel.
