Do I need NiMH AA battery charger or a 900mAh one for the Elan solar copper pendant lanterns?
Asked by Angela on 19 Oct 2021
A NiMH AA battery charger would be compatible. However, the batteries can also charge through the panel.
Can you control at what degree of darkness they will light up, ie will they operate in twilight or only when there is no sunlight?
Asked by Richard on 16 Sep 2021
I am afraid this cannot be controlled or programmed, they will light up automatically when is gets to dusk.

Yes, these lights are waterproof.
Hi, do the lights have an on/off switch and if so, where is this? I would like to hang the lanterns on a pergola. Also, what is the length of cable between each lantern? Many Thanks.

The on/off switch button is located on the solar panel. There are spaced about 0.5m apart.

How many batteries are in the panel? I have some from a different supplier with 1 x battery and they are so dim as to hardly be worth having.
Asked by David on 19 May 2018
Yes comes with one battery but a 900mAh and it will all depend on the size of the panel and settings to discharge the battery. I've not seen any feedback on them being dim. Our Lumify range has more batteries and a larger panel along with more modes including power saving for winter and USB back but only comes as a fairy light.
Hi, Is the solar panel fixed to the stake or can this be detachable? We would be looking to have the solar panel up high rather than on a stake in the floor. Thanks
Asked by Adam gray on 31 Mar 2018
The spike is part of the panel.
Hi, do the lamps plug into the solar panel. I have a special flap on the gazebo to the roof so wan to put the panel on the top then i don't have to feed 20 bulbs through?
Asked by Peter Richardson on 26 Mar 2018
The Elan range the panel is part of the string and doesn't plug in. Please have a look at our Lumify range which has a plugin panel and plugin battery pack here
