They are AA rechargable battery, so they can be placed in an appropriate batteyr charger if need be. Please do check that he charger is capable of charging those batteries and it is compatible.

The lights are designed to work all year round. We do recommend changing the batteries every couple of years and the product should keep going.

The batteries are within the solar panel and come already installed. Their purpose is to power the lights.
Can the solar panel fit to a post as an alternative to the ground spike? Thanks.

The panel comes with a spike only, no wall mount. You may be able to make your own or take a look at our Lumify range which has both spike and wall mount with USB too.
