FAQs: Everbright Solar Fairy Lights - Multi 300 LEDs

Frequently asked questions

I want to put the lights on a Christmas Tree outdoors. I would like the solar panel hidden from the tree to fully show the tree. Is that possible or would I have to use the USB during Christmas? Can one use another set of normal batteries or do they have to be rechargeable ? Thanks, Sunny

Asked by Sunny on 24 Sep 2014

You must place the solar panel where it can receive as much direct sunlight as possible. The USB charging function is intended as a back-up for days when there is little to no sunshine. The batteries must be rechargeable.

Hello. I have a couple of questions about charging the lights. It seems very restrictive to only be able to charge via computer USB (excluding solar), I often dont have my laptop with me, and really dont want to be leaving it turned on just to charge the lights. Would it be ok to plug into a 240v wall socket (with USB output) that is designed for mobile phone or ipod? Is it ok to charge using a 12v leisure socket using a USB converter? Thank you.

You can use a charger that has been designed for a USB connection (I.e. car charger, iPod, iPhone, Blackberry, etc.) However, you must not link multiple plugs together to create the right connection as this is dangerous.

I was wondering how long the Solar Fairy Lights - Multi 280 LEDs are in total?

The string length is 28m (92ft) and you get one LED bulb every 10cm.
