FAQs: Evo56 Solar Security Light

Frequently asked questions

What's the 2200 battery charging voltage? Or put another way, the max output voltage of the solar panel?

Asked by Chris Graff on 16 Sep 2014

The solar panel is 6v

I installed my light about two weeks ago and left it to charge for 3 days before connecting the light and have been very pleased with the performance, however, my garden is enclosed by a high wall on the south side and I am concerned that it is not getting enough charge because I have been away for the weekend and it now appears to be completely flat and I have no light at all. Do you think the extra panel would be advisable

Asked by John Davis on 11 Mar 2014

It's highly unlikely to be related to charge at this time of year - unless it's subject to many activation's every night. Please try assessing the panel location between approx 10am - 2pm to ensure it's unshaded to rule this out as an issue.

Asked by Sarah on 7 Mar 2014

How long is the guarantee with the evo 56

All of our lights carry a 12 month guarantee from date of purchase.

Hi can the sola panel get to much sun and does this shorten the life of the product if it's not activated to use up the energy.

Asked by Dawn Muggridge on 3 Mar 2014

The solar panel cannot get too much sun. The energy is stored on a battery and once the battery is full any extra energy is wasted. Inactivity (lack of activation's from the light) will not shorten it's life-span.

Could you please tell me the output wattage of the LEDs?

Asked by Florrie on 24 Jan 2014

The Evo 56 solar security light is roughly the equivalent of a 100 - 150w Halogen security light, I'm afraid I don't have the individual wattage of the LEDs.
