FAQs: Gloucester Up & Down Solar Wall Light

Frequently asked questions

Is the output 50lumens each way or combined?

Asked by Lefteris on 18 Mar 2024

Hello, It is 50 lumens overall.

How long do you expect the light to work please? I know it depends on charge but would you expect them to last all through the night? 12-14 hours of darkness? Thanks S

Asked by Stephen Blakely on 27 Nov 2023

It completely depends on the postion of the light and how much direct sunlight it has and the mode you have this on. In winter the lights will come on at around 4pm. So we recommend that these lights are in as much direct sunlight and in the correct mode and you should get around 6 hours I would suggest in Winter.

What kind of light do these lights give off? Warm white or cool white? There doesn't appear to be any information stated about the brightness or colour of the light.

Asked by Declan on 2 May 2023

Hi Declan, These lights have a warm white output. They provide 50 lumens which is sufficient to illuminate objects and foliage. Hope this helped.

Do these lights need to be installed on a south facing wall to work please?

Asked by Becca on 3 Feb 2023

We do advise installing your lights south facing to ensure longer life expectancy and full brightness.

Can you replace the bulb in this lamp? If not, what is the approximate lifetime of the bulb? My concern is that they will only last around 12 months (as per warranty) and the whole light will then need to be replaced.

The bulbs cannot be replaced. It is very rare for the led's to stop operating.

I am afraid that they won't work as they won't be able to charge. Please look into lights that have a remote panel instead.
