Hi, Having problem with one of my lovely lights. The lights come on but not going off when light. So batteries are running down very quickly. I'm upset to learn they've now been discontinued. The bulb cannot be replaced. It is rare for the LED's to stop working.

The output is 50 lumen and the bub is 4 smd's with a faux plastic bulb cover over them.

The material is stainless steel and the middle part is plastic.
Once light has been fitted to outside pillar, can they be just twisted off and removed (stolen).

Sadly yes these could be stolen but we haven't yet had any reports from customers having these taken. As these lights look like mains lights most would be thieves are put off by the light output and touching electrical items.
Is the switch accessible to make it easy to turn off/on? Also if turned of does this stop the batteries from charging? Thanks Paul.

Yes, the light can be turned off via the switch underneath the cap/lid part. If you switch it off the batteries will charge.

The Henley Pillar has 3 x 1.2v NiMH 750mAh batteries. With normal use up to 3 years before the batteries would need changing.

Yes, you can do this, it would be worth storing the light indoors when not being used to save it blowing around in the wind.

The Henley Pillar has 3 x 1.2v NiMH 750mAh batteries. It has an on /off switch, when set to on it will operate automatically at night. The bulbs cannot be replaced however they have an expected lifespan of 50,000 hrs. The Henley pillar is 50 lumens.
Can these lights be used as path lights i.e. mounted around the edge of a lawn on ground level concrete footings?

I have fence posts which are 4 X 4 inches for the top - will the Henley lamp fit onto this or will it hang over the edges??

The diameter of the base is 120mm so there will be a slight overhang on the fence posts. One idea is using a post cap on the fence posts to increase the size slightly?
How would you describe the light given off by this lantern? Is it a warm white or more a brilliant white? I ordered the Tunbridge garden lights and hoping for an approximate match in colour of light output. Thanks.

The Henley is a natural white light output, it's a little cooler than the Tunbridge lights but warmer than the brilliant white you often see on solar lights.
is there - or could there be - a choice between warm white and cool white. i.e. is the bulb changeable?

It is intended to be screwed down. We would not recommend leaving it free standing.
I am looking to source 2 x quality solar lights to fit on top of my small pillars at driveway entrance, looking to provide some illumination even in winter, to help me select could you please advise the battery size/no of & type used in this light. Thanks

This is the best option for what you want. The batteries will not need to be replaced for up to 2 years. The batteries are inside the light and are easy to replace.
Could this lamp be free standing ie not screwed to a surface so it could be used as emergency lighting indoors?

We would not recommend this light for emergency lighting indoors as it needs direct sunlight on the solar panel to charge.

I want a lamp which will light my large polytunnel so I can continue to work in it on dark winter evenings. Will one or two of these do the job? Also what size solar panel do I need and do you supply? Thank you.

We would not recommend this light for your polytunnel as the solar panel is on top of the unit. The sunlight trying to get to the top would be filtered by the polytunnel. I would suggest inside a spotlight or two with a separate solar panel which can be positioned outside.
Do these fix securely to the top of fence posts? I cannot see any screw holes for fixing.

There is a plate which is screwed down and then the light twists on to it.
