Hello, there is an on/of button at the front of this light you can turn it off this way if need be.
Can the motion sensor on the kingsbridge be disabled so that it just comes on as the light falls? Or do they do one without the motion sensor

Hi, Does this have a base or is it just a frame? I'd like to put a planter at the bottom but can't if it's just empty space. Thanks!

It's a frame base so you can place a plant pot to sit on the bottom.
To switch on do you click switch to left or right before holding down for 3 seconds. Also do you press once/twice/etc for different modes. Ie step 3 do you press 3 times

You have to press and hold for 3 seconds to activate the unit. You have to press the switch button to change through the modes or switch it off completely.

Yes, the on/off switch button is located next to the pir sensor.
Where is the solar panel ?Is it at the top ? I wish to place the lantern under the eves on a south facing wall and I am concerned that it would not get sufficient light to charge . Thanks

You will have to press the switch button 3 times. On mode 3 the unit will work as a security light.

I am considering this light for a north west facing wall. It gets lost of afternoon and evening light in the summer but not so much in the winter. How effective is this light likely to be in the winter without lots of direct sunlight? Is there a minimum amount of direct sunlight for this light to work.

Hi Can you please let me know if this solar light is sufficient to light up the main door and also at front of the door? Is it as good as an electric light? Or is it more a decorative light? I plan to take it to Cyprus where the main door is in the direct sun for 1/2 day only, however, the sun is very strong. Thank you

No, this is motion only. You can choose a low light mode, but this will activate to brightness when there is movement, so would not recommend it.

Hi. Does this come with a way to shut off the motion detector? We've had one before and every time a cat walked near it in the garden, it shone brighter. Annoying if your bedroom is above it. Could you tell me how sensitive the motion detector is? Thanks.

Please see the different modes below: Mode 2: Light is set to remain at low brightness until motion is detected which activates high brightness for up to 25 seconds Mode 3: Light will only activate when motion is detected for up to 25 seconds [This is the best mode for winter] Press 1: Light ON - Press and hold for three seconds Press 2: Switch to Mode 2 Press 3: Switch to Mode 3 Press 4: Light OFF - Press and hold for three seconds There is no way of shut off the sensor.

As this is motion dection light then yes, however we strongly recommend due to the integrated panel that these are placed somewhere open without obstructions (not north facing)

Please carefully consider where you wish to install your light before making alterations to your property. It’s particularly important that the solar panel receives as much sunlight as possible. Ensure that it is not obstructed by buildings, fences, trees, sheds, etc, or the shadows that these create.If the solar panel is installed in a poor location, it may not perform to the best of its ability.The Kingsbridge can be mounted onto a flat, vertical surface,such as a wall. Once you have decided on your light base location, place and mark the two holes you need in the mountingbracket. Place the light aside, drill your two marks and mount using the supplied screws and screw plugs. Dimensions are: 27cm x 16.5cm x 15cm
