Hello im looking for a few sets of solar lights , what is the highest lumes set you have with no pir as wanting them on from dusk to early morning as a night shift worker. Regards Barry from Belfast.

Asked by Barry Hutchinson on 26 Jun 2021

The most powerful light that we sell and can stay on continuously is this (1000 Lumens) https://www.thesolarcentre.co.uk/products/Eco_Wedge_Elite_Remote_Control_Solar_Light_With_PIR-846-78.html

Can you get then in grey or black

Asked by Karl on 14 Jun 2021

I am afraid not. They only come in stainless steel.

Can they be screwed straight to decking instead of using spikes?

Asked by Karen Kyte on 21 Apr 2021

I am afraid not. They can only be installed using the spike provided.

What mAh are the batteries in this unit? If replacing them, can I replace them with ones with a higher mAh, which should help the charge last longer (as I have with other solar lights)?

Asked by Debbie on 31 Jan 2021

The batteries can be higher/lower in mAh it is the voltage (1.2v) that needs to be the same.

Does this product come with a 12 month warranty?

Asked by bola Bello on 3 Sep 2020

Yes, all our products come with a 12 month warranty

How much extra height does the stake for the ground add to the overall height of the unit?

Asked by Mark bennett on 1 Jul 2020

Hi are these a warm white or bright white once illuminated?

Asked by Jamie Meakin on 24 Jun 2020

A bright white colour once iluminated.

The lights are great but only come on when very very dark. Ideally, would prefer them to come on at dusk as described. Is there a way of doing this?

Asked by Natalie on 14 Jun 2020

If you change the angle of the 2nd solar panel to face east it's likely the lights will come on earlier in the evening.

Is there any warranty? Is it work in winter time?

Asked by Thomas on 31 May 2020

All of our lights come with a 12-month warranty. The lights will operate all year round.

Is the only difference between these and the version you are selling with PR the PR? Are the the same but without the PR? What is the Lumen output in power saving and what in non-saving mode? Thanks

Asked by Graham Oram on 17 Sep 2019

The PIR version is more than 3 times brighter as the light is only when movement is detected. PIR version is 50 Lumens vs 16 Lumens for the non PIR. Power saving mode basically halves the output.

What are the dimensions of the lights?

Asked by paul thorne on 4 Feb 2019

Light dimensions 44.7cm x 7.9cm

Are the spikes metal or plastic?

Asked by Dorothy Forrest on 14 Jun 2018

The spikes are plastic.

Please can you tell me the dimensions.

Asked by Audrey on 25 Nov 2017

The dimensions are available by clicking on the product image and looking through the images.

The Kodiak reportedly has 16 lumens. Can you tell me does the London XT have the same output? If not, what is it? I understand that the Kodiak has the edge technology which benefits its performance in winter time. However, this is not the time of year when illumination is so important to me. Thank you in anticipation of your reply.

Asked by Malcolm Latter on 30 Jan 2017

The London XT's are rated at 12 Lumens.

Can you please confirm the colour temperature of the light output - i.e. Is it 'cool' white or 'warm' white? Thanks!

Asked by Steve on 18 Sep 2016

The Kodiak's colour temperature is natural white, so in between cool and warm white.

One question asked how to fit onto metal gate posts but your answer was that they came with a spike so you couldn't say how to fit them. The fitting instructions on your web page refers to deck installation and says remove the black base, fit to decking and replace the unit. Is this correct as I would also want to install onto decking.

Asked by Jim Walkden on 2 Aug 2016

Yes, they can be screwed down to decking or any hard surface with an area of at least 80 x 80 mm.

Do these lights have a metal or plastic spike? I am trying to decided between these and the London XT. Please explain the main benefits for each.

Asked by David on 31 Jul 2016

The Kodiaks have a robust plastic spike, we've had no breakages to date. Both sets of lights are very good and both feature Powersaving™. The Kodiaks benefit from Edge Technology™ which doubles the effective solar panel area. The London's have classic styling and solid metal spikes. More often than not it comes to a style preference however the Kodiak's will edge the winter performance as the solar panel can be angled to capture more light when the sun is low in the sky.

I wish to buy two solar lights to fit on top of my black steel gate posts 8cm x 8cm. So what are the measurements of these lights other than 41cm tall and how would you secure them to the top of a post?

Asked by Jeff Travis on 27 Oct 2015

It is 80mm x 80mm so you could screw these down onto steel gate posts.

How tall are these lights as the details aren't that detailed

Asked by Alex on 16 Oct 2015

They are approx. 41cm
