Hello, They are IP65.

Hello, I am afraid you can not add two sets to one unit, they will each havw to run of their own individual solar panel.
Do these lights only come with a green cable? I would prefer a clear cable.

Hi, I have the solar fairy lights & I wish to store them until next December. Please advise the best way to store the control tube. Should I run the batter down? Should I remove the battery from the tube? If so how best to protect the battery? Many thanks.

Hello, Our lights are designed to work in all weather conditions, if you store them away the battery may deplete so much that they might not come back on.

If I set these fairy lights to be on constant and not flashing, will they automatically come on constant when they switch on the next evening? I have another brand of fairy lights and I have to go out every night and reset them from flashing to constant which is a nuisance in wet and cold weather.

Hi, The Lumify will remember which mode you have used and will continue to light up in that mode night after night, so you will not need to change them.

Yes, that's correct so when it's dark, the panel senses it's dark and it will automatically come on.
Approximately how long can I expect these lights to be illuminated for in December? Last year I bought a set of solar fairy lights (from a different supplier) and they were quiet dim and only lasted for about two hours from 4-6pm. Is this the best that can be expected given the low light levels in Dec in the UK, or can these provide a better service? Thanks

The lights will work for 8 hours, once they have been fully charged via the USB cable.

Hi there can these lights be operated just with the usb bank it's self leaving the solar panel out ?? We would not recommend using the lights only with the control tube. You will have to charge them quite often. The on/off switch button is on the control tube and the lights will work if the battery has been charged via the USB cable.
I have placed these USB solar lights around outdoor Bamboo plants. Is it safe to leave them on overnight, unsupervised? Is there any fire risk from this unit?

It is safe for the fairy lights to be installed on plants etc.
I am thinking of buying these for my greenhouse. The solar panel would therefore sit behind glass. The roof is also glass and reaches a peak (it's octagonal). Would the lights work from solar power within the greenhouse and do you have a suggestion to attach them to either the aluminium frame or to glass? Many thanks, Anne

The panel has to be exposed in direct daylight. Charging batteries through glass won't be sufficient.

I note that there are 8 different lighting styles, however I wondered if it's possible to control the brightness? We already have a few lights so I was hoping it light be possible to have them on but very dim?

I am afraid that you cannot adjust the brighness on these lights. But there is a Powersaving 'p' mode were it reduces the brightness but doubles runtime.
Could you tell me how much direct sun the panels need to charge. I would like to use these lights in a narrow passage but the 2m lead would not be long enough to reach to the end of the passage. The panel would only receive about an hour or so of direct sun each day. Thanks

That would not be enough amount of solar energy for the lights to charge through the solar panel. However, you can charge them via the usb cable that is provided.

Hi, is there any way to have a longer cable between the lights and the solar panel, as I'm trying to use them along a wall which is in shadow during the day, so wanted to mount the panel higher up the side of the building to catch the sun. There is a timer within the lights that will turn them off after that time. If they do not go off it sounds like there is a light nearby that might be flashing on/off the panel, this will reset the timer. Please do check that out as it will assume it is day time and then night again!

The lights will not come on if there is any ambient light as you describe as it will assume it is daytime. The way to counteract this is to unplug the solar panel, but you must remember to plug it back it or it will not charge the next day.

The solar panel on the 300's has a slight border around the panel whereas the 100 panel does not. If you mean the green charging tubes, then if you have a 100 set attached to a 300, they will work but very dimly, if you have a 300 tube conencted to a 100 set, they will be very bright. The tubes also now come with markings to tell you which is which.
Do I have to wait until it's dark before the lights will work? If I had the solar panel outside but the actual lights inside a dark room can I switch them on whilst the solar panel is outside in the daytime? Many thanks

Yes, you can but the panel charges during the daylight so you would be limiting the charge it gets but as the lumify range is usb you can boast them now and again. By removing the panel connection the lights will come on or by covering the panel to make the lights think it night time.
