Is there a way to turn them on manually? They only turn on when it's properly dark and we would like to have them on sooner.
Asked by Christina on 28 Jun 2017
Hi Christina, The lights only come on once the panel has stopped charging the batteries due to it being dark. One option is to play around with the direction the panel points. If the panel points to the east it's likely to come on a lot earlier than if it points west (towards the sunset). One customer I remember covers the panel with a beer mat to trigger the lights whilst it's still light. With the solstice last week nights are already getting shorter.
