How do they receive enough sunlight with the solar panel being flat/flush to the floor surface, as opposed to an angled panel facing the sun directly

We recommend these lights in driveways and this would ideally be in an open area which access has direct sunlight, so no overhanging trees/bushes, this is how they would receive the sunlight. We do not recommend them being placed into brick walls with no access to direct sunlight.
Can these be placed upright in brick pillars facing 120 degrees South-East and still work?

Personally, I would avoid this as the panel is integrated, so if they are upright they may not receive as much direct sunlight as they may require. If you do wish to install them this way please make sure that they are in as much direct sunlight as possible. Please note that any shading on the panel will not enable these to run for as long as advertised.
Can you buy spare parts for these or do you need to purchase the whole thing

Once these units have been in direct sunlight for their initial charge, do they need to be in permanent direct sunlight to charge in normal circumstances? As an example, if they were only to receive sunlight for the morning, would they still provide 12 hours of light from dusk?

As long as they are in a south-facing position, they will come on however in winter it will come on for less than 12 hours as we don't get much sun then.
Does the pack comes with 2 lights?

you can charge these in sunlight for 3-5 days while switched off
If these are designed to fit into a space for a brick (or block in a driveway) what are the screws supposed to fix to?

The screws are there so you can get to the batteries to replace them.

The unit would be able to charge if it is placed in direct daylight. The batteries are inside the unit and can easily be replaced.
How long is the runtime of these light in summer and winter?

The run time is up to 12 hours from a full charge.
How does this compare with the Paverlights you also stock? Would be nice to see a video of these similar to the Paverlights for comparison, better still with the differing light bricks side by side?

These are different to the Paverlight as you can choose either White or Warm White and they also have a power saving mode which will help them throughwinter, which the Paverlights do not. Sadly as much as we would love to produce multiple videos for comparison this is just not feasible as we do not have the capacity to film these videos.
I have used other solar type lights and they do seem to only have a 2 year or so lifespan - how long would you say these last - or are there parts that can be replaced in them to continue their life?

We expect our products to last for a minimum of two years, but this varies depending on the location, installation and the customer

There is no up rating on these lights I am afraid, they light up around the middle and they are good for marking out parking spaces. The switch inside says W and WW you just choose the colour you would like.
What type of battery is installed - their Voltage and mAh?

We do not recommend these going vertically into a wall, as the panel is on top of the light, so it may not get the sunlight it needs.
Can one switch them off at night to preserve the battery power whilst charging in the day Also how many Lumens of light does it emit.

You can turn these off at night, but you would need to unscrew the light which would be quite time consuming. The light does not have a lumen level but is good at marking out parking spaces.
Hello I would like to mount these in front of house signs in a planting bed, cab they be sunk into soil instead of it's intended use in a brick driveway?

After about 2 years we would suggest changing batteries and the LED' should last around 80,000 hours.

You would install your Onyx as you would any other paving brick.
