Hi Nicky, First push of the switch is full brightness, second is powersaving mode and third is off.

Do i charge the light for first use in the off position?

They have batteries in them which help the panel to charge so even in winter they will work.

Regards first charge, is the power button already in the off position out the box.

What is the lifespan of this light? In hours please. Can I replace the bulb when it fails?

The light is dusk until dawn, so should through until it gets light. In winter you can use the power saving mode to help it run longer. I would say the most in winter would be around 6 hours, depending on weather and location.

This light is 50 Lumens. It depends on how big the area is, you might want to put a couple of lights around.

Has there been any progress with stocking the replacement bulbs? How long are the bulbs expected to last?

We do have replaceable bulbs for this light. If you log into your account and go through the spare for that particular light you will be able to purchase the bulb

Can you switch this light off if/when you don't want it to shine overnight and if it's off will it still charge ready for when you do need it? Thinking of the neighbours!

This light will come on at dusk and run until the battery is dead or dawn whichever comes first. It does not have a motion sensor.

We do recommend that lights work their best in a south facing position but as long as the panel has access to light and is not in the shade for a prolonged period of time, the light should function well.

Please only use the bulb that comes with the light, any other would be a modification of the unit and would void the warranty.

Can you tell me if these will work on a north facing wall- I wish to install three between the pillars of my double garage. Regards Alison

I would not recommend these for a north facing wall because of the intergrated panel.
