The answer to one of the questions was that the spike can be removed so does that mean they can be screwed directly to decking or not?

These cannot not be screwed into decking, they can be dropped into decking if you make a correct sized hole. Please be aware that the on/off button is underneath, so you will need to remove them whenever you wish to turn them off to charge them. If you are looking to screw lights into your decking we have ones which you can do so. Please do look through our decking lights page and it should hopefully be clear which ones, if not, do give us a call.
Hi , I bought mirage decking lights sets of 4 and these were working perfectly fine and we love them. Unfortunately three of the lights stopped working, we did all possible things to get to work but no luck! Do you think it's the battery issue? Bought multiple items from you. Please advice? When charging during the day do u need sunshine to charge them up or can they be charged when its cloudy, raining and snow and frost.and if they can be charged when its cloudy do they last for.

we advise our customer to position it south-facing while switched off as it will need sunlight to charge however we do have batteries in our lights that help the solar panel charge when there's a dull day where your not getting sunlight

The lights will need direct daylight in order to charge. If the weather is not great that might affect the run time.

I would not recommend installing them so that the panel is not facing up and receiving direct sunlight.

The lights come with a spike for easy installation.
The image shows the lights sunk into grass but they're described as lights for decking so I'm confused - do they go on the decking itself or are these just garden lights? How would they attach to the decking? Thanks

Yes, these are on spikes, so would work, just make sure the foliage does not cover the panels.

You can replace the batteries, so the lights should last for a few years. It takes Ni-MH AA600mah 1.2V.
