Could it withstand a 50kg cube of acrylic stood on it so I could use it as a display stand?

Hello, these lights have an automatic sensor so they will come on at night on their own and turn off when they detect day light.

Hi, I have had a number of your shape lights for 3 years, some are indoors, some outdoors and I love them. However the cube light, which is indoors and I charge with the USB charger has stopped working. Could it be the battery needs replacing? There's no red or green charging light when I try and charge using the USB charger. (Embarrassingly I realise now that I don't understand how they work indoors, I thought the USB charger was all that was required and hadn't realised there was a battery as well!) Thanks Jane

Hi Jane, if it helps all our lights run on rechargable abtteries and you can either charge them via solar or USB. So it sounds like to battery has gone flat and needs replacing. All you need to do is unscrew the base and replace the battery insde the base The battery you will need is either 18650 or 14500 I would suggest to check first which light you have and which battery you need before purchasing it.
Do you sell the 18650 3.7V rechargeable Lithium Ion battery to replace the old batteries?

Hi I have 2 large cubes and a large pebble. Which we love as they light up our decking. We are finding they are not recharging in the limited light as winter draws near . We would like to store them over winter , What way do you recommend they are stored.

You could use the USB charger and the lights will keep up and running. Please note that the units can also be used indoors if you wish to. Please take off the batteries before you store them away.
How do I replace the battery as I think mine needs replacing as it won't hold the charge with either solar or mains power.

Please remove the base from the shell. Unscrew the 6 screws that surround the solar panel and gently lift off the piece that holds the solar panel. Remove the battery and replace it with a new 18650 3.7V rechargeable Lithium Ion battery.
Hi, is the charging light supposed to stay on all the time? It is not plugged in yet the charging light is still red.

Yes, the light will stay on. That shows that the unit is charging through solar.

It depends on the mode and colour that you will be using. A full USB charge will enable your Shapelight to work for up to 60 hours in static colour or colour changing mode. In OUTDOOR MODE the Shapelight will turn off automatically after 7 hours, so a full USB charge will give you 8 nights runtime in static colour or colour changing mode without any help from the sun. Please note that the bright white and bright warm white settings are significantly brighter than the colour modes so run-times are reduced to 19 hours from a full USB charge.
Good morning, I have charged up light, when I try to turn it on it is not responsive I have tried it on the indoor mode and outside , any ideas?

Please use the indoor mode and press and hold on the circular button for 5 seconds and the light will illuminate.

The panel is inside the shell. You can charge it through solar or through the USB cable provided.
i have the cube is there an out door setting for it 2 cycle through all colors n how dow you do this

Please refer to the instructions under 'operating the Shapelight' there is a list of colours and it will let you know which one to put it on for the colours to start the cycle.

Hi Can these be permanently plugged in using the USB port and left on outside mode so they operate like a mains powered light that comes on and off at dusk/dawn?? Thanks, Dave.

These will be on all the time if plugged indoors on indoor mode they would need to be phyically turned off.

There is no lumen output as such, these are decorative and will serve well as a night light and as a talking piece.
Hi, what happens if the cubes are left unused in a garage with cold temp ie 10°c ,would this affect the charge on them at any given time if they where fully charged before cold temps? Thanks.

Thse should be fine to be stored. You could find there might be a slight dent but when they are warm that will disappear. You can USB charge them at any time.

The USB port is located on the base of the light, undeneath the screw cap.
How do you get it to auto cycle through the colours? I did it once by accident!

The Shapelight will cycle through the colour changing mode on the 2nd blue colour. Red Green Blue Pink Lime Green Purple Light Blue Lylac Blue (the light will continually cycle through the different colours). Bright Warm White (brighter setting with shorter run-times unless plugged in indoors) Bright White (brighter setting with shorter run-times unless plugged in indoors)
