Hi there, we unfortunately do not sell a base separately, but the battery in it can be replaced which may address the intermitant functionality.

Hello, they take Li-ion 1500 mah 3.2v. The base is replaceable however the battery is not I am afraid.

I love this light, and have a narrow long balcony, 14 cm deep but 2m long, what is the dimension of the base on the shorter width (ie non sticky out cacti side?)

The light is solar charged only and does not come with a USB cable.
Because our garden gets very little sun in winter, I want to store my six Shimmer mood lights in my loft until spring. Can/should I remove the solar batteries from the lights before storing?

These are outdoor lights but not designed to be underwater.

The light comes with a 10cm ground spike which can be secured to the bottom of the light should you wish to fix it to soft ground.
