I have a number of Shimmer lights. Not required at present but does the Shimmer lights have a replacement base similar to the Shapelight?

If I left the egg switched on, would it turn itself off after a certain amount of time.

It will turn off automatically when it runs out of battery. It doe not have a timer.

There is a battery inside the unit that will be able to charge through solar. The unit does not come with a USB cable if you mean that.
Does this come with a usb cable for extra charging as well as being solar powered

Unfortunately it is on for garden use and can't be placed in a pool.

There are 12 colours it cycles through red , green , 4 shades of blue , orange , yellow , purple , pink , green and white.
