As I have no electrical socket in the bathroom I'd like to use this as a night light where my bathroom is normally dark even in daytime. Can I just keep charging it until it's discharged instead of exposing to sunlight? Will that work too?

Hi, You can USB charge the light as often as needed.
I have just bought the lamp, I am going to charge via the USB cable initially as it is quite dark and cloudy outside. How long should it take to charge before I can switch it on and use it? Thanks

The charging procedure usually takes 4-6 hours.
My light has hardly been used. It is just over 1 year old and I can't get it to work. I have changed the battery and have had it outside in the sun for the past two days. Do you have any suggestions?

Good Afternoon. I am very sorry to hear this, please may I ask you to turn the light off for 5 days in a south-facing position to recharge the light, if after this the light is still not illuminating, please email our customer service team at Info@thesolarcentre.co.uk for further assistance.
I recently purchased this lamp and have placed it on my bright window ledge to charge, it has been there for over 2 weeks and doesn't light up. I have tried using the remote supplied(even changed the batteries in it) to try to get it to light up. There has been the odd bit of sunshine during this time Is there something else needed to get it to work?

Hi Nikki, The IP Rating for out Shimmer table light is IP 44 this is the classifications given to lights when they are tested for protection against solid objects (dirt, dust) and water
Does this lamp have usb for charging.

How stable is it in wind. Just placed on an outside table on the stand

I would not leave it out on the table if wind is around unless it has been secured down.
Is this light like the other solar lights which also have white settings or is it just the coloured lights?

It can only be set to work on red, green, blue, light blue, pink and purple.

It does have different modes: red, green, blue, light blue, pink, and purple but not white.
Can you tell me how bright the light is when set to static white? Is it bright enough to light a table for 6 to eat dinner by?

This unit can only operate in these modes: red, green, blue, light blue, pink, and purple. It is mainly used as decorative light.
Can you switch it white light only?

You can set the light on a static mode if you wish to.

Yes, you can set it on a static colour/mode.
I noticed that on a previous question asking dimensions that you stated a height of 16cm and a width of 24cm which makes the lamp very short. Is it not the other way round?
