We have a Robomow 304u robotic lawnmower with south facing garden space beside it which could be used to site a solar panel to charge the unit. What would you advise best option.

You'd need a much larger panel or multiple panels. Our kits are designed for lighting. The battery in your lawnmower has a large capacity so with solar panels you'd only be adding a top-up, it would help but unlikely to have enough output to be used all the time.

Hi, Could this panel be mounted flat on a roof without fear of water ingression of rain water? Thanks Ian.

As long is the panel isn't sat in water the panel will be fine. Ideally, raise the panel just of the flat roof with a small angle to stop water sitting on the top.

Hi Are there mounting holes on the rear of the panels to bolt to your Solar Panel Wall / Post Bracket the photo shows two holes towards the top of the mounting plate. (on the bracket)

Yes, the panel has pre-drilled holes on the rear.

Hi, I'm looking to power a wifi range extender from a car battery (100ah) in my shed - so kids can surf from the bottom of the garden. I think a typical wifi extender needs 12v 1amp max. Would one of these panels plus the 4ah controller be the thing to use to keep the battery topped up please? Thanks Ian

We recommend a 50 watt solar panel for a 104ah battery size. This would trickle charge the battery. (You must use a charge controller in this circuit!)

Hi, I'm looking to produce a sign with a digital display to show the number of days since the last accident on site. The company supplying the digital display tell me it will only draw less than 1Amp of power and requires a 12Volt DC supply. The customer has asked if it can be solar powered? Is this something you may be able to help with? The sign will be post mounted (probably 76mm diameter) so the solar panel could be post mounted above it and may need a mounting bracket. This is doable but will be using 12 watts per hour it is on (1Amp x 12v). If it is running 24hrs a day 7days a week then that is a lot of power. It will be 288 watts a day. To power it in winter will need a 150watt panel and in summer minimum 50 watt panel and to have 7 days back up would recommend a 3 x 104 ah batteries.
