The PIR Detection range is approximatley 5 to 8 metres from the light and 6ft is a typical height for installation so this should be true of your installation. The PIR is generally more sensitive the more charge the light has

What is the difference when the switch is set to ON and when it is set to PIR ?

One LED operates the whole time at night. The other eight LEDs come on when motion is detected.
No mention is made of the solar panel. Is it incorporated in the light?

Yes, the solar panel is incorporated into the top of the light on the Solar Power Security Light.
Hello,can you tell me whether the pir sensor is 360degree, or can it be adjusted in any way to detect movement?

The PIR sensor is the small white "bubble" on the front of the light - you can see it if you click to enlarge the photo with any luck. It can't be adjusted at all but will detect to approx 180 degrees.
Could you tell me if there is an on/off switch to this light? Also, which is the brightest out of SS7414 or the Cambridge Solar light?

Yes, there is an on/off switch. The Cambridge is slightly brighter then SS7414.
How bright is the light? What would be the wattage of an equivalent incandescent mains powered light? The picture shows what looks like a black lamp. Is this the case and if so, how would I order it?

This light is roughly the equivalent of a 20w incandescent bulb. The light is finished with a stainless steel effect, not black.
