After 4 years good service and one change of batteries, the solar panel has turned white and performance is not so good. Can the panel be replaced or is there any other remedy? Otherwise, has been great!

The panel is integrated and cannot be replaced. However, please try to clean the panel with a cloth and CIF cream.

The batteries are in the panel. They are AA rechargeable batteries and it doesn't matter on the mAh as long as the voltage is 1.2 volt. So any AA rechargeable will be ok, as long as it is 1.2v.
Hi, we're looking to uplight a stone wall which is about 30 feet long. 1- how many Thea might we need assuming they are the best for that job? 2- can we mount them on the wall so they point up and still have sufficient solar collection? 3-the wall is running on a North East/ South West line....and therefore facing SE....will that work? Thanks!

It will depend on the effect you are after to what light would work best. Our spot lights page shows the lumens (the brightness of each light) to help you decide. Remote panels would allow for you get more direct sun so maybe look at the globes too. As long as the light from one spot light doesn't hit the panel of another you can space them as you'd like. I'd suggest anything from 50cm (20inch) to 2m (6"half) apart.
Hi. I would like to buy a spot light for the garden but I only like warm white. I have the fairy lights in warm white and they are perfect. I dislike bright blue white light. Are there any other products you sell that are warm white? Thank you.

The nearest alternative warm white projection light we do is the Evo SMD however the Tunbridges are a warm white alternative style light that maybe of interest.

The Thea produces 80 lumens, there aren't different length poles available.
does the solar panel tilt backwards? And does it flip up and backwards to be higher than the light, as it can facing forward. If I fix it to the fence it will be facing north and the panel must face south - backwards and be a bit higher up.

The solar panel is limited in it's tilting abilities. I do not think you will be able to get it facing south in your intended location.
I'm looking to light up a wall of my house to uplight stone cladding. The wall is approx 6m wide and 5m high. What light would be best to uplight? Thea, selene or Albany? Thanks in advance for help

The easiest way is to cover the solar panel with a coat. If the light comes on then the light is turned on. Another way is to hold the light so the switch is facing the sky. If the button is slightly higher then it is off.

I want to light up an urn which is about 1300mm high in the middle of my lawn. The lights will have to be placed at the west and east side of the urn. The garden is surrounded by trees. Will the panels get enough light to be effective?

I would recommend using a light which has a separate solar panel so you can get it as much light as possible. From what you have described the Thea Solar Garden Spotlight may struggle during the winter months as it needs direct sunlight on the solar panel.
I would like to use this light within a flowerbed. Will it still work if the light is partially covered by plants?

The solar panel must be receiving direct sunlight. This will not work if covered by foliage.

I would recommend using spotlights, either the Thea , Selenes or Albany will be the best bet. The Thea and Albany project the widest spread of light, the Selenes have a more focussed beam.

You should expect at least 2 years before you need to consider replacing the batteries.
I am looking for spotlights to light up some large flower circles. Bases on one of the comments that the solar panel is best facing south is it possible to angle the panel at a different angle to the light. The lights would be pointing east and west.

You can only angle the solar panel up and down. You cannot twist it from left to right to catch more sun.

There is a manually over-ride "Off" button. The light will still charge but it will not turn on and shine.

You'll be looking at least 10 - 15 years out of the panel, a replacement cannot be fitted.
Have bought one of the Thea Solar lights and one set of the Selene spots. Being plastic as opposed to metal like the Selene's, how weather resistant is the Thea? I'm about to buy a second one.

The Thea's are very weather resistant. We've been selling them for approx 4 years now and have had a much less then 1% failure rate. They're a product we can recommend without hesitation.
