XT Power Saving Top For London Canterbury & Durham

FAQs: XT Power Saving Top For London Canterbury & Durham

Frequently asked questions

When ordering a new top for the London post, there are two options - large or small. What does this refer to? Apart from the depth surely they are all the same size?

Asked by Tessa Craig on 24 Jan 2023

We have changed the London xt lights from 08/2022 so if you bought your London light before August 2022 you will need the 25mm size big. If you purchased the London xt lights after August 2022 then you would need the small 21mm. This only refers to if you have the London xt lights, if you are purchasing for the Durham or canterbury it is still the same so it will be big 25mm.

What is the Lumens output of these lights?

Asked by Damien Edwards on 15 Nov 2021

Its 12 lumens

I'm thinking of buying the Durham lights. Are these replacement tops an upgrade on what I'll be buying, or just something I'll probably need in 2 year' time?

Asked by E Jones on 10 Mar 2018

The replacement tops are the same version as what you have on the Durham lights.

Can yo tell me what the spec of the internal battery is to source replacement

Asked by Mark McNeill on 22 Sep 2017

2 x 600mAh NiMH rechargeable batteries per unit.

I received 4 London lights and I'm pleased they are so much better than the cheap high street ones I had before. Looks like quite a few are finding they are replacing the tops after 2 years. Will they last longer if left on P setting or does that not make any difference to the overall life expectancy?

Asked by Nigel Harris on 4 Jun 2016

The P/S settings do not make a difference to the overall life expectancy. It is just the batteries which need replacing after approximately 2 years.

What do the 2 settings P and S do?

Asked by Mike on 1 Jun 2016

P is for powersaving. It runs slightly dimmer but goes for longer and is ideal for winter usage. The S is for Summer and is full brightness.

I want to replace existing light in decking so I need dimensions please

Asked by Paul Scotland on 10 May 2016
