I've got to say this is outstanding customer service I had no idea light was under warranty and company were under no obligation to make me aware. This is very much appreciated and clearly I will amend previous rating. I will continue to purchase from solar centre in the future, if that there is no doubt. Regards Kevin

0 | 0 I have now bought two of these spot lights to light up individual tress in the garden. They both work superbly,with a lovely light and spread and the light lasts well into the wee small hours. I had the first one for over a year and still works brilliantly,more so in the summer than winter,but only to be expected. Overall well pleased with these and have recommended to family and friends.

Why would you buy mains wired lights when these do such a great job for less with hassle.too. Absolutely fantastic.

0 | 0 A good strong spotlight and easy to set up. I wanted to uplight three Silver birch trees so bought one as an experiment to assess it. It does that but it's a cold white light and I was looking for a warmer atmosphere so I'll resite it somewhere else as a security light and keep looking for a warmer solar spot.

1 | 0 I have just replaced some of my original Helios lights. I live near the sea so the salt air plays havoc with the appearance but for 6 years they have been great. Just started to reduce time they stay on for. so changed them. Yet to put the new ones up but I'm sure they will be just as good. As for the service from the Solar Centre, as usual first class. Would recommend both the company and the product.

As other reviewers have pointed out the solar panel and light are fixed in one alignment so you need to be sure that it will work in the proposed location. In my case it does.

0 | 0 We have three now, and when I have saved up I will buy at least two more. They aren't overpriced, we are just spending rather a lot of money at the moment lol! We have a large garden and they are just what we needed to replace the old hardwired lights, many of which I had cut through as I worked! I am particularly impressed with the fact that although a couple don't receive much direct sunlight they still shine through at night. We love them and are VERY impressed!

1 | 0 as mentioned in other review I have had a helios for some time now, it performs all year round, I now have bought another 3 to illuminate areas of garden, & hung them on concrete fence posts, I might add,it would be helpful to include some small nut/bolt with unit as I had to purchase at local store, the supplied screws for wooden fence are not suitable.

Pleased with it. quality is good but maybe not quite as good a earlier model as light lens cover was a little loose. However the new cover on the solar panel seems better than the previous model. I would not hesitate to recommend this company. I have purchased at least 20 of these from them in total.

The solar panel is a good size and although we have only had it in use for a short period of time it as performed well on some very dismal days. Really happy with the Aug code but when I went to purchase a second one the code had disappeared even though it was still August .... That was Disappointing

1 | 0 When I first installed these (and they aren't the first Helios Solar Spotlights I've bought) I was a little disappointed with one of them not charging well - I think that a nut was loose which meant the P/v panel wasn't at a great angle, albeit in direct sun a fair length of the afternoon/evening. That said they seem to have come into their own and are now lighting the garden features very nicely. They are a little large in dimensions, so a little unattractive in daytime, but come night time they really work well now. It's a case of you get what you pay for... at twenty pounds each it takes a lot of money to get a full lighting set-up in the garden.

Only downside was that the pole was missing and when I called up i was told the design had changed and there was no longer a pole provided. The instruction leaflet still mentions the pole though so a little confusing.

1 | 0 Great quality and solid feel, but needed a spotlight to face West and unfortunately the solar panel will only tilt up and down in the same plane as the Spot (they do not swivel independently). The best site for the solar panel is to face South and as the sunlight available in the site is low, we need all we can get! Solar Centre were very halpful and we have exchanged for the twin Selene Unit with a seperate wired Solar Panel (a wire between each and the solar Unit) - will buy again from this site.

Things that stand out for me: on/off switch - we use the light to illuminate our steps to the front door when we have friends round who might not be used to them. The light isn't in the best place for charging but with it off most of the time its fine when we need it. You can replace the rechargeable batteries: they will slowly reduce efficiency so to have the ability to replace them makes this light a winner for me.

1 | 0 I now have six of these lights and they are so much better than the lower cost multi-buy units generally available, better construction and much brighter light when fully charged. My only slightly negative comment would be that the latest model does not come with the spike extension (included with earlier units). This enables the unit to work better in flower beds, the current small spike means the light is more likely to be obstructed by foliage. Please provide the extended spike.

They come on at just the right time in the evening. They are made from durable, sturdy cast iron so will last a lifetime. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to bring a little light to the exterior of their home. I am thrilled with mine.

We have them shining up white barked silver birch and they do give a beautiful light up to about 6 feet. Very fast service and a good price even if they dont last more than a few years - we'll see! At least , once purchased, there are no additional costs involved.

0 | 0 Product is straightforward. Reasonably robust. Haven't had a very sunny 2 day stretch to fully charge the unit but reasonable light on the tress.. I would dispute 8m of lighting but whilst a weaker strength than hoped for still give a pretty effect. Once in place no additional costs which is a bonus. Did have a problem with delivery - they did not arrive and driver had put calling card through another house no where near ours! Second time it worked but an irritation.

0 | 0 A well made product that gives out a good light. I ordered two and have fixed them to my fence at approx 6ft high. They create good mood lighting at this time of the year. Can't wait to see them in the summer

1 | 0 It works! Even in the winter gloom. To be honest, I thought it would give more light output, but maybe I was expecting too much. I will have to buy more lights to illuminate one particular feature. But if I went the traditional lighting route, it would have cost £40 an hour to hire an electrician, plus the material costs and the ongoing electricity costs. So I'm happy with what I've got, but the display isn't as bright as I hoped.

1 | 0 I cemented the lights using the ground spikes on top of a wall. The recent storm sadly snapped one off just where the spike joins the light.The other one is still OK.

This spotlight can either be staked into the ground or attached to a wall, which is great for flexibility. It looks modern and smart, and the light given out is great, it currently lights up the path at the side of my house perfectly. Previously I had the light shining onto a corner of the garden which looked great, and come the summer I will probably move it back there so that it can be enjoyed come the warm nights sitting out. I would certainly recommend this spotlight for any garden use.
