I have scrapped my 12 volt garden lighting in favour of these solar power lights. I have six and they are bright enough to light the whole garden in summer. I will see how the power saving tops behave in winter

I bought 8 of these posts for my back garden about four years ago. When they work, they're fine. They're just not durable, however. Each year I've had to replace at least two of the tops because they've failed. This year it was three - including one bought last year. Any savings I've made by using solar power have been completely wiped out by the costs of buying replacement tops every year. A poor quality product, I'm afraid.

GREAT product with power saving. Lights stay on all night with the Spanish sun. CUSTOMER service spot on!!!. Only problem is they rust inside and need to be replaced often. But overall a happy bunny.

Especially useful for posts in the parts of the garden that receive less light. They make a significant difference to duration. Worth the extra pennies for sure. Didn't know these existed and stumbled across the sole review at the time. Glad I did.

I have two lights and was sceptical that the power saving top would make much difference , so I ordered one to compare. Amazingly, the light stays on all night, so I have now ordered a second top for the other light. Perfect !

Works fine. On the winter setting lamp stays on all night even on the longest nights, a little dimmer than on the summer setting but does what it says on the tin. I have just ordered another to replace the standard one on my other lamp.
