Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee infrared functionality through glass.
Can the batteries be removed and recharged in an external charger?

These batteries are rechargable but not replaceable. Pleae do not remove them from the unit.
I understand a LED indicator remains permanently on, is it possible to disable it, or is there another model that doesn't feature it? Would rather not have a LED on all night long in my garden.

Unfortunately, the LED indicators are present in all of the ECO units.

Hi Steve, Thank you for your question. Please make sure that the plastic tab has been removed from your remote. We then ask if you could first switch your light on but the button on the light, then you will be able to use your remote from then on.
I wish to use the light to light up the driveway entrance; will the light stay on permanently throughout the night (subject to solar charge) and auto switch off during the day?

No, this light will light up when there is motion detected only. There is the option of having it on for one hour, but it's main function is PIR.

We recommend that the lights are positioned south facing to maximise their performance. However, they will work as long as the solar panel has access to light and is not put in a shaded area.
Can the lights be attached to a wall with no nails/screws such as Command 3M?

It detects motion up to 6 metres away.
Was going to use over my back door which is basically facing north east, will there be sufficient sunlight to operate light effectively.

On mode 3, it says the light will stay permanently on - is that on full brightness? (I.e the description on your 1,000 lumen version of this light says it will stay on permanently but only on medium light for mode 3?). If this does stay on full brightness then for how long pls?

It would require having a correct battery charger, it would just be worth leaving it outside to charge for 3 days.
Is it possible to disable the motion sensor function and use it in an on demand manner? I was looking through all the different modes on the controller but none of them seem to enable this

The PIR is not adjustable sadly. They are on our EVO SMD range.
We plan to install two of these high up on two wooden pillars to keep them out of reach. Can you please tell me how far apart are the two (?) screw holes on the back as this will determine how large my pillars need to be. Thanks.

Plan to use this light in a side alleyway approx 10 metres long. I'm assuming I'll need more than one, but not sure how many. How far apart should I space the lights to get an even light?

It really depends on many factors, a light-hitting a white wall will reflect far more light vs a light hitting a wooden fence. I'd suggest 3 lights some 3m apart.
What is mode 6 used for, as from the information on the manual it flashes red and blue for 1 hour, is this for a deterrent. Don't understand the use of the mode 😕 (Other then that the light rocks A* service )

Rock star party or a deterrent. The idea is if you did spot someone in your garden you could put the flashing lights mode on which looks like police lights.

The remote is infrared with up to 8m range, same as a TV remote with line of sight being the best but would bounce off walls or steps in your case.
Hi There, i was lookingvto place this light on a high wall in an alleyway, is it possible to switch the light on and off from the remote when required. Just wouldn't want it triggering when a cat walks trough draining the battery. Many Thanks

Yes, you can use the on/off options on the remote control and use modes 4/5 depending on how bright you'd need the lights.
Can this light be simply operated by the remote, on and off with no motion sensor or do you have a light that is operated by a remote control and does not have a motion sensor. Kind regards, Bob

Yes, the remote has an off/on button.
There is a push button next to the sensor. It is not mentioned in the instructions. What does it do e.g. On/Off. I put the unit up 5 days ago but nothing happens. No indicator light etc. Unit seems dead. Remote control plastic tab removed but does not activate lamp.

Hi, is there any way to reduce the range of the sensor on this light? I'm looking for a high lumen output, but 10metres would mean anyone walking past on the pavement would trigger it, the path to my door is only around 5m.

You have 3 options, raise the light higher up the wall, this will shorten the distance, use a small piece of electrical tape to block the sensor, or have a look at our SMD range which has adjustable sensitivity.
How long does the security light stay on for please, is it 15 or 30 seconds.

Hi Can the light be switched off completely and if so does the internal battery still charge? Also is there anyway the sensor range can be reduced? As i bought a similar one but find it activates when not necessary, which in turn means i have to switch of for 2/3 days to recharge.

Yes, you can switch off the light. The sensor on this light is not adjustable so you'd need to test the location to achieve the best results for the ideal range.

With the motion activated mode, the light will be approximately lit for 15seconds once motion has stopped.
