Can the rechargable batteries be replaced for new ones?
Asked by Anthony Ayling on 11 Jan 2026
Hello, Yes, the batteries are replaceable.
Hello, my Elan festoon lights have stopped coming on at all now after only a few days. The first night was splendid and now it's been getting less and less until they have now stopped completely. Do I need to turn them off for a few days?? It's been pretty dull weather but with. Some sunshine? Thanks for any help
Asked by Shirley Blatchford on 19 Dec 2023
Please can I ask whether you have tried leaving the lights switched off for 3-5 days? I would recommend 5 if the weather is particularly overcast. Our lights can come partially charged and might work straight away, whereas others need a boost. If after this time the light still has not come on I would recommend you check where the light is placed and to make sure that there is no heavy shading on the panel or anything obstructing the panel from receiving a full charge.
Are bulbs replaceable?

Had these lights up since summer and they've been great, however now not all of the bulbs turn on. I'm going to take them down for winter, is there a quick fix for this?
Asked by Tom Warden on 2 Nov 2021
Please can I ask whether you can check along the string to see if there is any bites/breaks that would stop them from coming on? Any damage that is found please can you respond with a photo, we can then look into this further. If you cannot see anything please just double check the location of the light, that there is no outside light in the evening that could be getting onto the panel, this will trick the panel into thinking it is daytime and the lights will not come on, to test this please cover the light with a thick towel/jumper and if they come on please reconsider the panel location. If all else fails and this has not been done already, turn off the lights for 3-5 days and allow them a base charge

Thank you for the very quick delivery. Have bought various lights from you before and extremely pleased with all of them.

That's right, the batteries are in the back of the light. We recommend exercising caution when unscrewing and taking out batteries.
