How many hours of light will one days full charge provide? (Assuming battery fully charged) please can you quote number of hours for both standard mode and power saving mode. Thanks .

Hello, these lights are fantastic. I have 4 - although you say they can stay up for winter. Would it help battery life if I take them down for winter, switch them off and store in a dry place? I don't want them damaged by extreme frost or winter conditions? Thank you

Asked by Derek Bird on 30 Aug 2023

Hello. Our lights are designed to work all year round and to be outside all year round, we recommend keeping them outside for charging as they do have a power-saving mode which will keep your lights working all year round, we do not recommend storing them away just because the battery can deplete to zero which could mean your lights will no longer work.

1) How effective will the lights be on a north facing wall in winter? Daylight hours are as short as 8 hours in Shetland. 2) Is there a remote control or do they just stay on until the battery dies? 3) How difficult is battery replacement ? 4) Are these lights truly waterproof/weatherproof? 5) Have you any units that would tick the above points?

Asked by Chris Saloschin on 18 Nov 2022

Hi Chris, we do always advise that a south-facing position is the most optimal place for your lights to be installed. If you only receive a short amount of daylight, I would suggest not placing this particular light in a north-facing position. I would advise looking at our lights that have a remote solar panel, where you can face this in a more optimal position. These lights do not come with a remote. The lights will come on when darkness has been detected and will turn off when daylight comes or the battery has depleted, whichever one comes first. These lights have an IP rating of IP65.

Asked by Craig on 26 Oct 2019

The panel is intergrated on the top and the leds are in each corner so will not affect the panel working, quite a clever design if we do say so ourselves! You are not able to repalce the bulbs, but you shouldn't need to. The batteries are already included, so no need to purchase them. They should last up to 3 years.
