Hello, Our lights need to be installed in a south facing position.
I have an electric fed security light that is motion-sensitive but the bulb keeps blowing and I'm too scared to try and change it! It involves turning the power off and not handling the bulb, all too complicated! I don't want a "down light" but do you have a solar-powered light or lights that would effectively light up my driveway and the outside of the back door? I need something to project light horizontally, not vertically.

Asked by Kate on 10 Feb 2023

Asked by Natalie Thorneycroft on 30 Aug 2022
Hi Natalie! Thank you for your question! The distance between the holes on the back plate is 3cm.
I bought 4 of these last week and charged them all for 5 days and put them into p-mode. The past two nights they have come on at 6pm then 3 of them went off at 7pm, the 4th one went off at 9pm!! They are all 4 screwed to my fencing and are not covered by anything. Surely these should stay on longer? A bit expensive to get an hour from them i would say?
Asked by Ann on 27 Oct 2021
we do advise to leave them in off position when charging in sunlight for 5 days, then if you can switch it into p or s mode and it should run for up to 10 hours from a full charge, if however you still have issues please can you contact info@thesolarcentre.co.uk

Do these have an easy to access on/off switch? I wont need to use them all the time and would like to switch them off easily to reserve the power. Some others in this range need to be unscrewed in order to switch off...
Asked by David T Morgan on 13 Sep 2020
The bottom of the light twists off like a jam jar, there is then an on/off switch, so depending on how high you have the lights is how easy it is to get to the switch.
What does the P +S mean either side of the off switch please . What is the best setting to switch too.

P = Powersaving, so use this in Winter for the best performance and S = Summer or standard which can be used.

Hi. Thinking of mounting these on back wall of bungalow. But how much space required above them for light to hit solar panel?

We do not recommend them for a north facing wall or anywhere which is going to have anything over the top of the solar panel. They will need access to as much direct sunlight as possible.
