4 | 0 Very pleased with these lights, their output is excellent and have used them for illuminating my collection of Japanese Acer's. Cable length is perfect at four metres, however an extension is available if required. The solar panel can be disconnected for better placement in the sun, then reconnected with the lights for the evening. Highly recommended and will surely order more in future!

30 | 1 Very impressed with the quality and effectiveness of these solar lights. They are around our pond and stay pretty bright until 3am when the preceding day has been bright and sunny. In the winter, obviously this won't be the case, but, in April/May...so far so good!

I love that the solar panel is large and away from the lights with a good length of cable. Will definitely buy again.

5 | 0 I've had these about 3 weeks and so far so good. They seem good quality lights. A lot brighter than expected. Plenty of cable with them so you can space them out a bit. Only thing I don't like is the bracket for the solar panel. It's pretty big, looks to be double jointed but one is for show only. I've ended making my own bracket so it doesn't stick out off the fence so much. Would have been a 5 star rating otherwise.

5 | 0 I was very pleasantly surprised by this product. Well made with metal casing and very effective light output given their diminutive size. These are definitely a superior product to that which you buy in a garden centre, or on Amazon. They are small which makes them discrete in the raised bed. I would recommend and am looking at larger number set for the remainder of my borders. The true test will be how many seasons they last. Obviously cannot comment on that aspect but my initial impression is that these are a good quality product at a reasonable price point.. As I say very pleasantly surprised.

We also bought your fairy lights which are still fab (2 years on). As well as your up lighters and they're fantastic (2 years on). Recently bought your Truro wall light and Firefly lights for in the bed and both are great products. I recommend your lights often to my clients in their schemes and never had a bad review!

0 | 0 This is the second set I've purchased, and the only product I have bought from the SC with metal lights which seem very robust. The light lasts a lot longer into the night even with only a little sunshine and if you need a smaller beam I would recommend them. My only caveat as with all these products is that they all seem to have a fairly short life span with little or no scope to obtain replacement parts.

1 | 0 We needed 3 pendant lights for some quirky lampshades that we bought in Marrakech. We removed the spikes and hung the lights in the lampshades with some string and we're delighted with the result. The surplus light was used to illuminate a flower bed.

10 | 0 I've bought these three times now - the first purchase two years ago and they are still going strong. They are very bright and illuminate my front garden / driveway really well. The wires are long so you can use in large beds and spaces. The panel is easily tucked behind a plant. Just make sure you don't put it near a street light - I had to move it around a bit to get the right position.

0 | 0 I bought two sets of Atlas lights (4 per set) about three and a half years ago. The lights are versatile and very good for different lighting techniques (spots, backlighting, silhouetting, up-lighting, etc), very bright.and even work for a few hours in mid-winter if there's been sufficient daylight to boost the battery. They are also very discreet during the day if placed well. However one set has just failed: the rechargeable battery is dead. At £60 / set I would like them to have lasted longer but I guess this is reasonably good value for money when compared to other products.The warranty is one year so well out of date. The mounting spikes are also rusting, one badly.

0 | 1 I have been looking for some spotlights that have the solar panel separately and will make the plants look more dramatic in the dark rather than just path type solar lights. Very pleased with the results. Would buy again. Just need a bit more cable to move the solar panel out of sight. This should be easy to do as the lights connect with a screw type connector to the panel similar to outdoor Christmas lights.

Some I have as up-lights using the stakes to illuminate some plants and others as spots screwed to my fence to create a social area. The light is warm rather than harsh and the output is ample. I contacted Solarcentre for a replacement bracket and in no time at all I received a second complete set of 4 lights and a solar panel. I have installed the lights and they are absolutely brilliant. Despite being well beyond the 30 day return period Solar Centre kindly agreed to send me a replacement set immediately. Great customer service and a happy customer! The lights themselves. are great - I already have sets from more than 2 years ago and they are still going strong, despite me living in a very exposed coastal area. Strongly recommended!

3 | 0 The quality of these lights seem pretty good, they seem to charge well and are a descent brightness. I notice the screw into the spike of one of the lamps doesn't hold properly, hopefully it won't be too much of a problem in the long-term. The solar panel doesn't actually attach to it's spike, just sits on it. Each light has a 4.5metre cable from the solar panel, might have useful to have that information in the details on the website.

3 | 2 My wife Julia and I recently returned from a Greek holiday - we were staying at a beautiful hotel converted from an ancient winery. They had kept some of the vines and Julia loved the way they had uplit them at night. I thought that we would need to get a wired-in set of lights to achieve the same effect, but after some research she found these ones. I was sceptical until I saw the results and then was frankly amazed at how effective they were. Solar lighting has certainly come on in leaps and bounds now. This is the future!

The solar panel is a fair size in order to give such a bright light so bear this in mind as you need to position it carefully. I hope they turn out to be as robust as they look and feel and that the battery lasts a good long time.

2 | 0 The lights are great, very impressed with the brightness and quality considering they are solar powered. I would have given these 5 stars if the cables were longer. I've had to buy 6 extension leads so that I can position the panel in an area that will get the most sun and also not be visible which will reduce the power by 10% for each extension which is disappointing.

The only small complaint would be with the panel: the panel is quite large and the materials don't feel quite as high quality as the lights - but that's of little concern with such good quality lights and top performance.

1 | 1 Purchased, delivered next day. Very good build metal heavy feel, well sealed and IPX rated. The SMD's are good quality and shine nicely up my plum tree to help feature in the garden. I like the idea you can remove the spike basis on the spot light with the Allen key and simply use a weather proof screw to fix to what ever you want. I removed two spikes and mounted to the tree higher up, using the last two to shine bottom up. Really happy with my purchase and it's free to run Mother Earth would be happy another 5 stars from me.

4 | 43 I was so impressed with these that I bought 2 more sets. They give a good, soft light to my trees and shrubs around the garden. The power is excellent for a set of solar powered lights. The solar panel is big, around the size of mini ipad, but this is to be expected if it is to power 4 x 50 lumens lights. When I have used the power saving mode the light only seems to dim slightly and is still very good. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for solar powered spots. I bought the more powerful single 100 lumen light but it was too harsh. These give a much more relaxed and ambient light. The cables run from the same point in the solar panel, so you don't have as much spread as you may like, but you can buy the extension leads (note the lead is only for 1 spot, so you will need up to 4 if your spots are a good distance from the panel).

Installation so easy , plenty of cable to site panel in sunny spot and run the lights evenly across a 6 metre flower bed . After just one day (which was overcast ) the lights turned on and so bright my wife thought I had connected them to the mains .Since ordered and installed 2 more sets of 4 and a set of 2 for other parts of the garden . Very robust and well made - I will be back for more

One minor point one of the small hex head retaining bolts holding the spot light to its mounting frame had a very small spur left over from manufacture which neatly sliced my finger open. No long term damage and this may have been a one off but be aware and exercise caution when handling them. Regards

0 | 0 These are really good quality lights. I was so impressed at the power they produce, even on cloudy days. The build quality is great too. My only snag is the length of cable. It's not clear in the description that the maximum distance you can run is 4.5m. I thought they'd be wired in parallel so I could run down a length of boarder with 4m distance between each light. As I've fixed the solar panel higher up on the wall it's then reduced the canoe to the lights by another meter at least. Would still recommend though

4 | 0 The reviews were good, and I haven't had many good cheap solar products, so I decided to spend a bit more, and I am very pleased I did. They have only been on two nights, but they were still well lit at 11pm both evenings. The feel, small size and finish is really good, they look smart, have enough cable for a reasonable run, and so easy to connect up. The solar panel as other reviews state is quite big, and mine doesn't get full sunlight, but is charging fine. The only thing I would like to see added is a timer so you could save on battery.

We've only had them 2 weeks and we haven't had much sun, however the lights are lasting 4 hours on full brightness. 1 | 0 I bought 6 sets of these a year ago,The spots worked great during the summer but obviously did not last as long in the winter, I would estimate about 4 hours. Contrary to one of the Q&As below, I decided to split the lights and run two spots off a panel. I used self amalgamating tape to seal off the two unused sockets and left 2 spots connected. I did nothing else, no cutting wires or the like, I just disconnected 2. The lights work perfectly like this despite comments on this page and now last twice as long of course.

2 | 0 I have about 8 sets of these all lighting up tree or shrub trunks. Larger trees really need 3 or 4. It really looks good in the garden. Not much lighting in the winter maybe an hours worth but was great in summer. Did have a set of 4 that stopped working and they were replaced without having to send back the faulty set. Good customer service and delivery always efficient.

0 | 0 These are solidly made and have the choice of brighter or slightly less bright settings to save energy. Both settings are good, the lights seem to be powerful and last a long time, so far. The cables running from the solar unit to the spotlights are about 4.5 metres long but you can buy separate extension cables for them. I am very pleased with my purchase and would buy again from this company.

4 | 0 I'd checked all of the reviews on here prior to ordering and was impressed by the recommendations... even though I remained a little skeptical around the claims about how they were comparable with mains powered lights. The first evening after installing, I turned them on & wow! Can't rate these highly enough - I have them under Acers around my garden and the effect is magical - great quality of light and the 50% setting I would say is bright enough. Top product.

4 | 0 A couple of weeks in and these seem to be very good. The solar panel is larger than other lights which I have, but this enables a good, bright light to be maintained for a decent amount of time. I went to bed at midnight the other day and they were still going strong! I'll be interested to see how they perform in the winter, but as others have said - currently, they to put my other solar lights to shame!

0 | 0 These are lovely warm lights and very well made. However, from all of the reviews saying they were incredibly bright, I did think they were going to be much brighter. They don't really light up the garden, they just create a warm ambience. I also think it's a shame that there's 4.5 metres between each light and the solar panel. It means it can only go a maximum of 4.5 metres around/into your garden. The design would be a lot better if there were 4.5 metres between each light, that way the lights could actually reach a reasonable distance around the garden. All in all, they are better than any other solar panelled lights I have bought, but the design could be more practical.

Many thanks for the feedback Kim. I understand there are some technical reasons why daisy chaining isn't a straightforward option to introduce however there are extension cables available that will give you more flexibility in positioning, hope that might help.

1 | 0 What fantastic lights. Wanted to show off the dark corner of the garden and these lights are perfect. Placed the solar panel on a fence and they lit up the first evening. Bright, warm light that makes the garden seem so much more appealing. Yes they aren't cheap, but the quality and the brightness of the lights is fabulous. My fourth order with this company for a variety of things and I'll definitely shop with them again.

1 | 0 Put this under our feature tree in the garden and it has made it glow, Looks amazing, but unfortunately out our other solar lights to shame. If getting this, ensure other lights in your garden are warm and not white.

I use on the dimmer setting as the bright setting is too bright for us! Perfect and highly recommended!

As soon as you open the packaging you can see that these lights are definitely a different quality to what you get in normal garden centres, the metal bodies and waterproof connections are great. The lights have a lovely warm light effect and really do stay on well in to the night, i am already waiting for my next set of 4 to turn up once they are back in stock.

2 | 0 We've wanted to put spotlights in the garden for some time, but having electrical wires all around (and the cost) always put us off. I found these and ordered some to try. We've now ordered three more, so that tells you how happy we are with them. They carry on all through the night and give a good illumination of trees and plants in the garden. Well recommended.

0 | 0 I purchased a set of 4 lights using Solar Centre's 15% discount. They arrived on time and at first glance are very well made. As I was using these in my front garden, I dispensed with the plastic stakes and used the screws and rawlplugs supplied to attached these to some concrete slabs which I then buried under soil. (Hopefully this will prevent light fingered morons trying to steal them). The cables supplied provide ample length between the solar panel and the lights themselves. I wound external electrical tape around the screw connectors just to make doubly sure that they would remain waterproof. I charged for two very overcast, wet days and, low & behold, on the third evening I had a nice four light glow which lasted (set to 1/2 power) for about 8 hours. I expect duration of the lights will increase as we move into spring and the panel absorbs more light during the (longer) days. All in all, I was quite pleased - time will tell whether the lights stand the test of time but they are definitely a big step up in quality from the prodcuts you can buy at your local DIY store or garden centre.

2 | 0 Very impressed with how bright these lights are, however, they are more of a warm yellow light, certainly not a bright white light, however this is no drawback as they are so bright!! Would recommend to anyone wishing to light up a decking area.
