Spotlights Verified Purchase
This is the second set I've purchased, and the only product I have bought from the SC with metal lights which seem very robust. The light lasts a lot longer into the night even with only a little sunshine and if you need a smaller beam I would recommend them. My only caveat as with all these products is that they all seem to have a fairly short life span with little or no scope to obtain replacement parts.

Repurposed success Verified Purchase
We needed 3 pendant lights for some quirky lampshades that we bought in Marrakech. We removed the spikes and hung the lights in the lampshades with some string and we're delighted with the result. The surplus light was used to illuminate a flower bed.

Great lights - I've bought three times Verified Purchase
I've bought these three times now - the first purchase two years ago and they are still going strong. They are very bright and illuminate my front garden / driveway really well. The wires are long so you can use in large beds and spaces. The panel is easily tucked behind a plant. Just make sure you don't put it near a street light - I had to move it around a bit to get the right position.

Great but limited life span Verified Purchase
I bought two sets of Atlas lights (4 per set) about three and a half years ago. The lights are versatile and very good for different lighting techniques (spots, backlighting, silhouetting, up-lighting, etc), very bright.and even work for a few hours in mid-winter if there's been sufficient daylight to boost the battery. They are also very discreet during the day if placed well. However one set has just failed: the rechargeable battery is dead. At £60 / set I would like them to have lasted longer but I guess this is reasonably good value for money when compared to other products. The warranty is one year so well out of date. The mounting spikes are also rusting, one badly.

Question:
Not much sun today so lights only came on for about 2 hrs. Can the solar panel be disconnected during the day and placed in a better position for the sunlight then reconnected in the evening How does the pier saving work? And how do I switch to that mode please Thankyou
By J bardsley on Sep 13,2023
Answer:

Hi Julie,

As you have said there has not been much sun around. You can unplug these as the battery is in the unit, so this should charge them up. To activate the powersaving mode please refer to the instructions which should tell you, however I have included this below for you:

Please locate the slide switch on the underside of the solar panel. Slide switch into on position: The lights will come on after dark in full brightness mode. Slide switch into off position The lights will turn off. They will still charge, but they will not turn on unless you switch them back on. Slide switch back into on position: The lights will come on after dark in Powersaving mode where reduced by 50%, but the lights will work for twice as long each night. Slide switch into off position The lights will turn off. They will still charge, but they will not turn on unless you switch them back on

Powersaving will allow the lights to shine as a reduced rate so they last longer, we recommend this for the Winter Months.
