Frequently asked questions
Hi, is the bell glass or plastic? Thank you
Asked by Debbie on 9 Aug 2024
Hi, The bell is plastic.
my new winchester garden light exactly the same as this one, will only go on for a second before going off. it is fully charged . I have a pair of them and the other works well.. what is the problem and can I fix it?
Asked by helen on 20 Jul 2024
Please do check that the light is not placed in somewhere which has no artificial light that could be getting onto it, so try perhaps moving the light. If it has only just started doing this, please turn off the light for 3-5 days to allow a boost of solar charge into the batteries, then switch on again.
What is the lumens rating for this lamp please? It would be helpful if this information was included in your product description.
Asked by Dee Rosher on 21 Nov 2023
Hi, The Lumen rating for this lamp is 50 Lumens, this can be found on the green sticker under features.
How tall is this light excluding the state section? How does the stake section attach to the main part if the light? Screw or push fit?
Asked by Chris on 23 Jul 2023
42.5cm without the spike. The Spike is 16.5cm. It's a push-fit installation spike into pole.
Is 58cm the entire height from the point of the stake or is it the part of the light that will be above the ground once the spike has been inserted? Thank you.
Asked by Nikki Damment on 4 Feb 2023
Hi Nikki, That is correct the 58cm is from the point of the stake to the very top.

I am sorry to hear this. I have asked out customer support team to contact you with regard to this.
Will this Winchester light recharge adequately during dull rainy days to give light most of the night. I require a solar light for security so need best brightness. What lumens does it have & PI levels. Can you recommend any others?
Asked by Sally Bent on 3 Jan 2023
Yes, all of our lights are designed to work all year round in UK weather conditions. These lights come with intelligent powersaving, which is: 100% brightness for 2 hours 50% for 3 hours 25% until the has battery depleted or dawn, whichever comes first.
