I can't comment yet on how well this works as it's been bought for our apartment in Cyprus, but it's very neat and lightweight to take in our luggage and should be easy to fit on the outside wall. I'm hoping it's as good as the majority of the other reviews. We didn't want anything heavy or bulky and this fits the bill perfectly.

More IS better
Previous review entitled "Magic Lantern" posted on June 24th, and said I might have a couple more. Guess what ? Got 4 more, two for the driveway and two for my two sheds. Even the old dog likes them - he can see better for his nightly wanderings. And we can keep an eye on him in the event of prowling neighbourhood cats. Still "Magic Lanterns" in my book.

Great for my path
I bought these after inquiring about their brightness. They are great! I bought two for my gate entrance as it's pitch black down my path and I needed to see my gate keyhole. I've bought three in total and my neighbours bought two. Our pathway isn't intimidating any longer so my female neighbour and I don't feel unsafe coming home at night :) . Very happy with service and product.

So Far So Good
Bought to light up an area by main door and it gives out an excellent light but it is summer time! Will see how it goes when the nights are dark and it is needed most. The position of the light is not directly facing South and it would be good if instead of screws it could be clipped on so that in the wintertime it could be unclipped and taken to a South facing position to re-charge. Otherwise this seems an excellent product.

Curve Solar Motion Light Instructions
How it works
During the day the sun charges the Curve's battery giving it the power it needs to work after dark.
After dark the Curve automatically lights up once motion is detected. The Curve stays alight until 30 seconds after motion stops. After motion has stops the Curve goes back to standby until motion is detected again. In the morning the Curve turns off automatically and begins charging ready for the night ahead. Once turned on the Curve is fully automatic, but it can be turned off completely at any time.
Frequently Asked Questions
This light looks really good, but how do I know if the wall I want to fit this on is south facing? I want it to light the front of my house covering my front door and am woried it might not be and the light wont work.

There are a few mobile phone apps for compasses or you can use Google Maps.
What is it about the glow mode? Some people mention that it is always glowing and goes brighter when it is triggered. This is not mentioned in the description and I would imagine that it depletes the batteries quickly. Can I switch this off? I only need light when somebody is there.
By Christian on Jul 31, 2014
This light no longer has the dim function as it was a big drain on the battery life. It will only turn on when activated by the PIR.
Hi, does the solar panel have to have been in full sun as I am not sure my requirement would meet this i.e I am not sure it would ever be in the sun. Thanks
By Amanda on Jun 12, 2014
The solar panel needs to be receiving as much direct, unobstructed, sunlight as possible.
Any idea how many lumens it emits please.
By Charmaine on Jun 11, 2014
It is estimated at 100 lumens.
what colour is the finish
By alethea on Mar 20, 2014
It is brushed aluminium.
Does the curve solar motion light have a movement sensor built in?
By Martin on Jan 23, 2014
Yes, the PIR is mounted under the lip at the front to detect motion.
How deep is the light from the wall plate to front edge? and how wide an area does it illuminate and how long does it stay on for when triggered?
By Michael on Jan 23, 2014
The Curve is 130mm deep. It illuminates an area of up to 10m sq metres and stays on for 30 seconds when triggered - It will stay on for as long as there's motion.
Can the Curve Solar Light be positioned on an outside wall unprotected from the weather?
By Peter on Jan 23, 2014
Yes, it's IP64 waterproof so can be installed in exposed locations.
Will it come on every time a car goes past.? The road is about 20feet away from garage.
By Robert on Jan 23, 2014
It won't pick up motion that far away. The max distance is approx 4m, this varies a little depending on the height the light is installed.
