These lights are very bright and illuminate my patio well. I particularly like the remote control which enables me to manually control the light when required. I have bought several of these for both my house and my mother in law's but this one was bought to replace an existing one that had stopped working properly.but from experience the charge lasts well and continues to work through the winter when using the motion sensor.

Off to a shining start. See what I did there ! Verified Purchase
Ordered one about 2 weeks ago for back of house and working well tbh. Left for 3 to 4 days to soak up the clouds... i like the flashing amber light telling you it's charging, it did this the minute I took from box and took outside. Set to prog 2 with remote ( you need to push button on light front first to use remote) and blue light on as it says. Works great and nice and bright, so ordered another and fitted 3 days ago, all perfect. Moved my less powerful 500 lumen 5 year old eco pro and mounted on top of shed... sorted. Yes I'd recommend and in sale at Â£35.00 great value. May as well go for the elite and get the extra brightness and remote for a few extra quid in my opinion. Remote well handy if light out of reach and saves getting ladder out if you need to adjust anything! Simon.

Set-up instructions confusing/incomplete. I echo the comments made by James Hewson on November 17, 2024 that "The only slightly negative comment is that there's no mention of having to switch on the unit before being able to use the handset - it had me scratching my head to begin with." I had exactly the same issue.

Description

Unlike its siblings, the Eco Wedge Elite can also be operated on demand via remote control and can provide constant light from dusk till dawn. When in PIR mode this wireless solar motion light is fully automatic and will illuminate for 15 seconds each time it detects motion. The Eco Wedge Elite is ideal for lighting doorways, alleyways, entrances and pathways. The Eco Wedge Elite is IP65 rated for superior waterproofing.

Mode 1 (yellow indicator light on)
A low light is emitted after dusk. When motion is detected the lamp activates with full brightness and reverts to low light approx 15 seconds after motion stops.
Mode 2 (blue indicator light on)
When motion is detected after dusk the lamp activates at full brightness and turns off approx 15 seconds after motion stops. Recommended for Winter use or if the light is installed in a substandard location.
Mode 3 (red indicator light on)
After dusk the lamp illuminates at medium brightness and turns off after it runs out of charge or 10 hours, whatever comes sooner.
Mode 4 (yellow, blue and red indicator lights on)
After dusk the lamp illuminates at medium brightness. It switches to Mode 2 after the battery level drops below 60%. If the battery level is below 60% when selecting Mode 4, then the lamp will automatically switch to Mode 2.
Mode 5. (yellow, blue and red indicator lights flash on and off)
The lamp will illuminate at full brightness for 1 hour, even if it is still daylight.

Our eco wedge elite keeps coming on and staying on. We have cleaned the solar panel top and that helped for a while but it keeps happening. Remote can't get it to go off either last night.

It sounds like the light is set to Mode 3 (red indicator light on). Please switch to mode 1 or 2 if you would prefer the light to be exclusively motion activated.
