Very happy with these. I thought they were a great price, they arrived incredibly quickly, and they look super. They hold a charge well even in the last few, very overcast days in the West of Scotland. Customer service was great when I was asking some initial questions or purchase. I'm really very happy. The one thing that I would love to see is a clear wire option. I string these in the awning and clear wires are much preferred - but I appreciate that's just my taste.

Elan Solar Fairy Lights are completely solar powered. During the day the suns rays are absorbed by the solar panel which charges the rechargeable AA batteries that are included with your lights. After dark the AA rechargeable batteries power the lights for up to 10 hours before charging up again the following day. AA rechargeable batteries are easily replaceable after several years use and widely available from most supermarkets. Elan Solar Fairy Lights are fully weather resistant and use the same amount of power as a typical TV remote control making them safe to use outside in all weather conditions.

I charged the lights up. They came on about 7.30pm last night I got up at 4am they were still on. How do I change setting to come on at sunset and switch of like the other lights I have. I think if they are on as long I may have to charge all the time. Thank you

Hello, I believe on the remote it has the timer of 2 4 and 6 hours to be on if you select one of those this will be how long they are on for.

What is the difference between these lights and the lumify range apart from the number of light bulbs? Do these work well in winter?

Hi, The Lumify panel is larger, the batteries are in a separate container too which will work better in winter but both have USB top up.
