How long does it take to charge?
In late Spring, Summer and early Autumn the Astron will fully charge on most days giving it enough charge to light for 12 hours. In winter the Astron will charge up enough to light for 6 hours on all but the most unfavourable of winter weather days.

Waterproofing is rated by the IP (International Protection) system which consists of the letters IP followed by two digits. The first digit after IP ranks a products protection against solid objects.

There are 4 key differences between the two lights.
1. Function
The Astron64 Solar Security Light is a motion sensor activated light which only comes on when it detects motion. The Astron Solar Floodlight stays on constantly for up to 12 hours a night and is operated by remote control.
2. Battery capacity
Because the Astron64 Solar Security Light only comes on when it detects motion, it doesn't need a battery as big as the battery in the Astron Solar Floodlight.
The battery in the Astron Solar Floodlight is 4 times larger than the battery in the Astron64 Solar Security Light .
3. Solar panel power

We haven't stocked this light for some time and don't have any spare remotes. The best thing I can suggest is to try replacing the battery in the remote you have there.

There is no way to use this in the day without disconnecting the solar panel.

The best option for this will be one of the Geo Kits , probably the Geo 2 or the Geo 3 depending on how much use the shed gets.

Bought this primarily to provide illumination onto a patio during summer evenings. Tricky to get the nuts and washers onto the very small bolts to secure the angle brackets to the frame of the solar panel. Otherwise straightforward installation. Not only is there an on/off switch on the base of the light, but once "on", all further switching can be done from the remote control. Light output is perfectly adequate for low intensity illumination of the patio area. Hopefully a product of this quality should provide years of service.

This is a solid piece of equipment and giving off an excellent amount of light. I bought it to light the area around my stables and it is certainly up to the job. This is the second solar light I have purchased and I am very happy with both purchases AND the quality of service.

Quite simple a great light ,it lights all night for me and the remote control is a great addition. Quite expensive but ,,,,,, buy cheap = buy twice .... Build quality is excellent ..
