Description
To fit the lights decide upon a suitable location for the lights and drill an 25mm hole for each of the lights and secure them into the decking. Pass the cable through the hole and connect it to the previous light - approx 1.6m of cable per light.

How it works
During the day the sun's rays are absorbed by the solar panel which sends that energy to the battery inside the solar panel where the energy is stored. After dark the battery powers the Edinburgh Deck Lights.

I have two Edinburgh USB SSSDL sets and would like to purchase two twin pin extension cables could you please advise costs etc I ordered two previously only to find they were I pin connecters which do not fit the Edinburgh lights above and were not compatible to use.

As these lights are formed in a daisy chain style, the lights can be moved around and you will be able to connect the end light to the new connectors you have. Should you wish to return the cables, please get in contact with our customer service team.

Question:
If you fit the extension cable to the solar panel what would be the drop in brightness?
If you only use 6 lights would the lights be brighter than the 8?

Answer:
A single extension cable will not really make any difference, if you use 3+ it might start to decrease the power but this can be outweighed by having the panel in a better position. Reducing the number of lights is unlikely to make them brighter but would increase the runtime.

We do not recommend that. They are designed to be installed in a decking area.
